Optimo was at Mas, which is above Babaza (although it is the laughable B*lo now), for a bit, after the Subby went on fire. Although that was waaay back - it's in the Sub Club every Sunday night. And yeah Michael, Optimo was fun; it kinda made up for the dreadful Glaswegian weather (and having to fly with RyanAir...)

They also organise random parties under the banner, "Black Rabbit Whorehouse". In the beginning these were (free) secret parties where you had to e-mail for entry - and were given even stranger passwords like "carrot juice". One of the strangest parties was held in an old disused prison in Glasgow.

sounds excellent fun, the unit was kinda similar but its been ages since I was out clubbing in glasgow (no there where no seals involved...).

Maybe im getting too old now. But im glad optimo was ok, and i really feel sorry you had to fly on the paddybus to prestwick, north england (which is a better approximation than glasgow, prestwick).

Saturday was ok, you should have been here last weekend, wow that was nice.

Even managed to get the vespa out and crank it round the west end...

Yeah, "Glasgow" Prestwick airport, only 27 miles from Glasgow, eh? It's kinda like arriving into a shed. And what about that slogan, "Pure dead Brilliant". Wanted to puke. Ach well, fun, fun, fun...

Moved to London to do my postgrad, then I just kinda remained here. Plus, as much as I love Glasgow, it can get boring at times - but then again, so can London. Do miss the occassional ned, (glass bottles of) Irn Bru, and the unpretentiousness of Glasgow alot!

Albert Watson and P. Demarclier were shooting the covers of IT vogue before S. Meisel, that was in 1988, since then Meisel has shot each and everyone of them.
Quite an achievement......................

wow thats a lot of photography, he must be like a factory line pumping out all that work.

I admire his creative team and art directors as well; in that space of time each shoot has been distinctive in its own way.
