In reply to Galileo's Universe:

I am wondering how much the work place rely on people who are just plain happy with there lot in life.
No ambitions but to earn money to buy materialistic things.
This is why I find it interesting that all of a sudden excessive amounts of drugs and alcohol are not socially acceptable, it was a great way of keeping the masses stupefied and under control in the past. So what form will control take in the future.
From what I have seen most psychologists are rather mixed up people them selves due to the fact that they run circles around there own heads, which can distort or challenge what they class as reality or the norm.
I was taught at an early age to strive to achieve in life and expect a lot from my self, in the process I spend a lot of time frustrated when I expect the same from other people..
And this by a single parent.
If everyone in the work place wanted the top job you would not have a very happy work place.

success cannot be measured...neither can good or bad be. it may be bad for person A, but the same instance may be good for person B...it is bad because it does not do what person A wants...or not something person A wanted...

I think-If one doesn't feel happy, one can't feel successful, no matter what.
