i have friends who stayed in saudi arabia for some years... from what i heard, young people there don't like the rules on veil and all that. they still wear fancy clothes and designers brand inside, and whenever they had a chance to take those veil off, they're just like the people u see in magazine...
i think women still love to show themselves :)

I am glad pepole you folks are slating islam because most wars have an element of religion in them and that is true and I agree with that. What I am saying has nothing to do with war or any other battle and I wish people would not get war involved the question was about future fashion. I was only stating a legend and a proficy not quoting myself. If you read the Quaran then it actually says you are only allowed to use violence as a form of defence. You can take it anyway you want but I belive in one thing, what ever thoughts you have in the first place that is what you see and if you have war in you mind then you can twist things in any religion and use it to claim war. It is actally encouraged to mix with other religions in Islam and to talk about each others beliefs. So where war comes into it I do not know. It very easy to say things about some thing even if you do not have increased knowledge of it. Every religion is complex and to say a muslim world would oppress and make you wear army gear and make you carry kalasnikov /uzzi machine guns is a joke beyond belief I hope no on thinks that if the whole world became Christian we would all have to wear huge chrustfixes because that would look quite cool?!!!!! so please calm down and give thoughts on future fashion not WAR!

PEACE MAN!!!!

i came from a country that have moslem as majority... and despise the barrier from the religion in clothing (or i should say, not from the religion, but from THE PEOPLE that hold big influence on the religion), the fashion of the moslem clothing is quite good... we have some designers who specialized in the moslem clothing, which is quite interesting, they can put sequins or beads or embroidery on the heejab, it's a challenge for those designers to make something so boring to look stylish

........uhmmmm ?.....reading about this thread...( thank you poppyrose ! ).....makes me think a lot.......a LOT.....if ' the end of the world ' means that the whole world will become extint...... ' etc etc etc '.....it's actually implying that such 'prophecy '...( well I'm limiting my freedom of speech right now so not to offend anyone BTW )....it is contradicting itself...whoever wrote it....because there is no reason to celebrate or feel happy about knowing that our existence will be ended.......so much for PARADISE on EARTH at the end of times as written and predicted in another Holy Book.......

In the case of the first version of the end of the world .....I think fashion will be about CAMOUFLAGE ......in the second version.....I dare to think it will be about... ' wear what you please when you please '...........In the mean time we have plenty of time to decide which fashion at the end sounds most interesting, attractive and promising to each individual who have the free will given by God to decide ( thanks God for that !).....everyone is capable to decide for him or herself........it is call ' freedom to choose '..........that is in the end the most beautiful...wonderful....and exciting fashion we could wish for.....!

I think it's awful the women in some of the Middle Eastern countries have to be covered up, women in that region are so beautiful they should celebrite their beauties.

.....indeed...indeed !!...I'm deeply suspicious of rules created / imposed by FALLIBLE fellow ordinary mortals in the name of God...who by the way created beauty in the first place as a gift to mankind....not as a punishment ......People may always believe what they like because it is their right....that is freedom...but when it becomes a burden on the human spirit to the point of asphyxiation....then the fun is over !....And to agree or disagree is just a matter of personal choices.......as long as those choices remain voluntary and harmless.....to the individual self and everyone around him or her.........so celebrate the beauty of life as given by God/Nature.....

In reply to Galileo's Universe:

Humans should be humbled and learn from pure nature-the butterflies, the birds, animal kingdoms, they show all their physical glories without shame and modesty, pure innocences without pretense and prejudice. Doctrines are made by men, with all our flaws, we should always have open minds and learn from nature and science, they are all part of our makeups.

Fashion shall always be the modesty of every human being. It will change, but it will not change the way our bodies are covered or exposed. In cold climate, it must keep us warm, in hot climate, it must keep us cool.
