Not about Rimmels london or some other general drug store cosmetics, but more reknown brand names such as Chanel's, Estee Lauder, MAC, any thoughts?

i girl i know just payed $200 for a thing of chanel mascara.
if people want to pay those prices it's fine
but you can't pretend that its not a vastly inflated price.
at the same time, since when has fashion been about playing fair?
....the high price is part of ' packaging a dream'.....and the more expensive and the more difficult to purchase...the more desirable it gets...
It's all part of the psychology behind it all.........and consumers do love and want to buy 'ready made dreams'.......simple but extremely effective....
