how to get clients on fashion illustration?

fable! i love illustrations, i'm not making a living on this but i love to draw, my artwork mostly by charcoal.
some of my fave artists are julie verhoeven, chiho aoshima, takashi murakami, yoshitomo nara and francesco clemente. although we might recalled their works as art or maybe illustration, but i think the gap between those two kinda get closer and closer. the difference is just the options of media they use between traditional tools like brush and paint or with computer.
just look at how illustration or paintings influenced the fashion world since years ago. now artists such as verhoeven, murakami and aoshima been doing collaboration with fashion designers.
