enormous fingers (mashing the keyboard).

Are you refering to Elton John? CONCLUSION

An understanding of legal issues is critical to success in the multimedia industry. These issues are complex because of the youth of the industry and the many industries upon which it draws to create its products. The Multimedia Law Handbook, which has been endorsed by the Interactive Multimedia Association, provides a guide to these issues.

This primer is based on the Multimedia Law Handbook which is designed to provide accurate information on the legal issues in multimedia. The primer is provided with the understanding that the authors are not engaged in rendering legal services. If you have a legal problem, you should seek the advice of experienced counsel.

Anybody who writes 'END' underneath something they write is of the illusion that they are the only authorative voice on a subject, and if they haven't said it it isn't worth saying.

I find this twice as amusing seeing as you are an American.

Some might find this resource helpful http://www.own-it.org/
It is a new service which offers free intellectual property advice for London’s creative people.

Chris, I've tried searching for info about coming changes to the law you mention but I can't find anything. What I've found instead is a fairly useful, 2 page pdf guide to current law though - http://www.sirimo.co.uk/ukpr.php
I have the impression that any future alterations to law will mainly deal with privacy? What the knock on effect of that will be for photographers, who knows.
