I read yesterday that over the next,18 months the U.K. government is workin on new guide lines to change the copyright laws as well as interlectual copyright laws. Seeing how the goverment have handled things in the U.K over the last few years, I would think that the aim is to give them more control, over the press, and other areas and take it away from us as creative people. What do you all think, and what are your views on copyright issues, I know that the now primitive laws dont take in to account digital media and the like and needs to be brought of age. Dessisions made over the next two years will effect the way we work, and earn money from our work, in one way or another,
through every aspect of creativity , either publishing, design, art.etc

i was reading about john lennon in new york who was told that a young band wanted to meet him,his reply was,yes if they were still around in 5 years time he would meet them;any advice for them?get as much money and in your OWN name right name RIGHT NOW!so he never did meet the bay city rollers.
so sebastien, chris,or are you david bailley?this could be important it was for the photographer of che guevaras famous image who could never access the riches accumulated from that famous picture because he used a nom de plume.so when it went to court it was difficult to prove ownership.

Hi Sebastion, (HNY!) Where did you read about the copyright thing?

I'd like to know where you got the information that Korda's famous Che picture rip-off had to do with him using a nom de plume, shaw. Try reading this: http://www.pix.dk/korda2.htm
(and I'm pretty sure there's more to it than that too).

Well I am not David Bailey, I wish I had met with Wharhol and the like in the past as well as his money and fame that Bailey had?
I have no problem with copyright on my work, I am Chris Summerfield and all my work is under my name, including art, photography, T.V Media as well as poems, I know that this is all to iportant, and in fact I am proud of my work so I want it under my name.
Hello Flux I got the message through Plymouth Nedia partnerships yesterday, I will up date you with the contact information later in the next few days,. Un fortunatly it seems to be headed by Gorden Treasury, maby the intention is to tax us on our thoights? I would think that it will be paramount to taking away more of our artistsic licence, the same way the Human rights bill has been ajusted that much it is almost worth less in the U.K
I will get you my source of information, from what I can make out the treasury is also lookinmg for feedback from creative people.
Is there anyone in show studios that has conections with solicitors who study the subject if so maby we can be up dated through you also.
All the best Shaw and Flux. catch you soon Chris Seb nt Bailey( thats a funny one gang)

Got your point though I have just looked and seen loads of mistakes, I should have taken more time to read it over before posting, never mind.

Geez Sebastion I was only trying to spread some humor and here you go with personal attacks and being petty this could be such a productive space but I guess you can only insult others to feel speecial. Hm??
