DAZED & CONFUSED INVITE YOU TO HELP PUT THE BRAKES ON THE GLOBAL ARMS TRADE IN A SPECIAL GROUP SHOW TAKING PLACE IN THE DAZED GALLERY FROM JUNE 1 - 30.
To coincide with the July human rights special "Freedom" issue of Dazed & Confused, the Dazed Gallery is opening its doors to the public and asking YOU to take part in a collaborative art exhibition in support of the Million Faces petition, part of the Amnesty International/IANSA/Oxfam joint Control Arms Campaign. The petition has been asking people to send in photos and self-portraits from around the world to show their support for an International Arms Trade Treaty.
To support the petition and be part of the Dazed exhibition you need to bring a self-portrait (of any size) to the Dazed Gallery at 112-116 Old St, London and put it anywhere within the space. Alternatively if you can't make it down or live outside of London you can send your photo or self portrait in to Million Faces Petition, Dazed & Confused, 112-116 Old St, London, EC1V 9BG and we will do it for you. Please include your name and country with this so that it can count towards the petition.
The exhibition will go live from June 1. At the end of the month the images from the exhibition will be given to Amnesty International who will include them in the petition presented at the UN Review Conference on Small Arms.
The Dazed Gallery is at 112-116 Old St, with opening hours of 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday.
DO IT NOW, AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

Is it possible to get some feed back as to how this important exhibition is going Roboloid.
I hope to see some of the pictures in a future edition of Dazed and Confused or another mag, I have been keeping this project high on the other mentioned web site as well.
I was wondering also what has happened to some of the great visitors to the forum. Konrad in Canada, Shaw in Paris, and Turbo in Iceland it would be good to here from them again.

I have just checked out the July Edition o Dazed and I would like to say thjat it is about time that someone coverd the Human rights issues at the moment, Well done Dazed, so nearly half of ars bought by foregin countries are produced in the UK, a lot of these would also be used on our own people abroad.
I am convinvced that the war in Iraque was more of a reason to take away the human rights to people in the Western World, If you look at the situation leading up to the war. The Human rightrs bill had just been established in the UK, we had a great strike which disrupted the Country, the health service was failing as it is now, along with education and a lot of other issues, Blair needed a distration as well, as a way of bringing the population back under control, terrorising the poulation with the threat of terorism was the way that he chose to do just this.
Human rights have got to come before governments and other areas of authority, I have seen human behaviour going back wards over the last few years, breeding agression and violence and the main cause of this has been brought about by taking away self respect and the respect of others, breeding a vendictive society creates an unstable socierty.
I am not the only person to think that this present government has done more than any other since the second world war to create, insecurity and un ease within its population.
The amount of people killed in Iraque and Afganistan at the hands of Bush and Blar, if these people where on the shores of Brtain and America we would be in a third world war situation a long time ago, it is not acseptable for the value of human life to have so littal respect and value in other areas f the world.
It is good to see a selection of the pictures from the exhibition in the magazine also. The two diffrent cover pictures are hard hitting in the magazine one a colour shot of a shot person and the other of a cornia from an eye being removed, gruessom but true.
I hope other members from the forum have sent there photos through also.
One last thought
Since the Second world war America has had lots of littal wars across the world in its own interest , a lot of inocent people have died in these conflicts, On Sept 11th some of these people in the conflicts got back at the Super power threat to them ( the amont of peope who sufferd in this tradgic issue was small in comparrision)but America went in as usual trigger how getting there own back, not even on the right Country, killing thousands.
In a 21st century civilised World we hqve got to respect and learn to love again, otherewise what else is there, never belive the excuses and propaganda.
