After posting on the "Ethical fashion" thread earlier today Penny added shortly afterwoods the name of the horrible Unborn lambs fur that i was refering to(but didnt know the name of). Which is good. But after a whie it dawned on me that this was the equivalent of your teacher saying "Two n's in 'running", a kind of correction, not a contribution to the argument. Which is fine. Except it got me thinking. Of course there has been much less comment comming from "The studio" when the topics are silly and bitchy and involve people having a go at each other (something i am not completely innocent of when it came to that guy with the sperm fixation) and in recent weeks ive wondered if the studio even looks at the postings, but of course they do! I started to feel silly about anything dumb ive said in the past(lots i know) and almost partly responsible for the fact that there is not much discussion from the studio, when it hit me! Its the other way round. If there was more presence felt from the studio the overall level of chat would not get so childish.Again im not pointing at anyone, ive been a silly Billy too, but really if you felt that Nick was not only reading but even sometimes (dare i say it) responding to posts on a fairly regular basis does anyone think it would get so bitchy(and boring!) from time to time.
I read back to the first ever contributions to the forum and saw a rich and interesting discussion between Nick Knight and the then Forum regulars about digital photography techniques and the advantages of low res over high res.
I wish id had been here then because id have loved to get some feedback from Nick, the digital image-maker I respect the most, on strange findings im comming across now!
Anyway lets all try to incourage Nick and the team to engage in the forum more. This will lead to more buzz and hopefully more fun pro's (like Wong Kar Wai for instance) joining in discussion.......

perhaps you should get a life and stop living your life according to the forum and what showstudio says. every post you do says how you work for this person or that person but you spend all your time on here bitching about shit. every post youve done has a i did this or that element to it. Are you so cool, or are you full of shit. i think the latter.

GET A LIFE STOP PRETENDING YOU HAVE ONE - we don't think you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha ha "Get a life"! From someone who has to hide behind an anonymous profile how funny! I feel passionately about this forum and Showstudio in general, and if im too much of a show off for you-tough,im not changing for you! Maybe im not cool, but i show support for a number of people on this forum. Im ok with being called arogant or whatever because I am arogant, but full of shit? Dont think so. I live a life you could only dream of.and why? Because while youre hiding behind an anonymous profile saying nothing of importance I put myself out there taking risks, making mistakes, messing up on a regular basis, yes, but living my life to the absolute maximum!I am far from perfect and im fine with that, but Lets face it youre a looser. The very fact I annoy you so much is because you dont have a life.
Close the door on the way out. x

Hi Shaw, nice to hear from you. I really like Brian Griffin, his book "Waterpeople" was launched here and its full of really great work.Mostly i appreciate the fact that he doesnt go for the obvious shot, especially true with his work in Iceland. Ive only been shooting for a coulpe of years and im not that slick but I hope that by showing a bit of a different angle im not just doing the same old. Something i think you know about too, taking risks.
Youre quite right he is one of the best for doing excelent comercial work but still making it creative. Makes me also think of Helmut Newton.Totally different styles i know but he was the origonal gun for hire- work for anyone but always did what he
wanted! God bless the rebels!

In your earlier statement Turbo, you mentioned that it would be better if show studio made a stronger presence in the forum, I think that possibly one of the main reasons they dont is for the fact that it is to easy to be dragged in to these petty, verbal battles.
For someone who says he is so arrogant, your support and advise has been a lot more help to me than some of the wasted messages left in this forum.
Like you I take risks and live a healthy but extream life, and in fact get a buzz from it, that is what I am all about.
It seems to me that the charectoristics of forums for some people, not including you is to go in and just hurl non constructive abuse, and indeed some of what has been going on in here was begining to make me as bad as these people who in the real world must be very sad and bitter people, as well as visious, how exhausting and boring.
As you mentioned in another section of this forum I should work at getting established and not posting job information for others, surly this world is about people working together and helping each other, which is the point I have tried to make from the early stages of this forum. It turns out that in here anyways its become Dog eats dig, hurt egos, jealousy, and temprimental tantrums. It does not look good to people coming in to this place on a professional bases to see all this petty trivia going on. Take note James O.
I hope for all of you that use this forum your careers come true and you achive what you want even after all the attacks I have had from some of you.
I am not bitter towards you, as that would make me as bad as you. I just feel sorry for you. A. for not trying to understand people you dont know B. for constantly trying to show that interlectulay you can up stage each other. C. For making such fools of your selves.
Turbo thanks
It sounds aas though you are having a great time in Icleland and I will look forward to seeing the work you produce in the book.
The lighting out there is great and shoul work well on film.

( Who is going to slang my words of now how boring)
