I have to be honest and say, I haven't really always been a fan.............but the last issue was really good. I hope this new look continues. In my opinion it made i-D look very glossy and really impressed me. With mags such as wonderland, Amelia's, supersuper, less common, rag & HeMan coming onto the scene it can only increase the quality of the more established publications. Because as we've seen before, no-one is too big to go down.

RIP The Face(read the last few issues again, they were bleeding good!) & Smash Hits

I like the photography even though I think that going in to un imaginative studio lighting does not work for me. The only thing I would pick up on though is in a good magazine, with good photography the paper that is used for priniting should bring out the picture, and colours, I fimd that the photography in Dazed at the moment looks very flat which spoils the photography, not sure if this is also a charectoristic from digital pictures, possibly not.

I always get the impression that Dazed is still around because it looks after it's commerical connection rather than it's readers. Some of the features in the re-design look ace but the back section makes me squirm... there had to be a better way to lay the thang out... it's nasty!

I loved the photography, in an earlier topic I sad that the printing was flat and the colours got lost, even though it has gone more glossy.
I have been looking at som back issues of Dazed as well as i-D and in some ways there was a lot more imaginative stuff going on then.
Both magas are doing a great job for the creative industry though.

I like the mag & the fresh layout, but I hate their claim «be the first to know». If you read the stuff you can be shure that the subject is already known; they`re trying to hard.

...instead of this check the new issue of soda. It`s a cutting edge art-culture-street-mag. It`s also a subjekt that refers to the post «Just a thought.........» The latest issue of soda`s a blend of magazin & blog, the mag can be used as a manual or a compendium and the blog refers directly to the stuff in the mag.

latest issue`s blog: www.asia-alias.net
mag: www.soda.ch

I am very imprest with the stong portraits in the May edition of i-D and love the cover shot of the girl with flowers.Everything from Synchronised swimming to drag queens in this issue, with very strong well lit close up portraits in and out of the studio, a collectable issue.
Dazed for May looks a littal edgy with a lot of street style going on. I like the shoot done fore Nike and the London music scene.
I still think that some of the great photography in the mag is being spoilt by the grainy and flat printing, techniques.
At the monent it looks as if its becoming a more hard core street culture magazine,
Nice Black and white cover shot.
