I think I like the new site design, especially the feedback section. Have to say I liked the original design when you first opened the most though. It was fussy but it didn't look or feel at all like a normal website at that time.

The projects I liked the most were the ones that weren't strictly clothes-related. I imagine the further the projects get from clothes the more expensive they get to produce? Is your format now strictly projects where the execution can be documented? The projects where it's just been a short film or some photos have been great. Is there room in the forums for non-clothes related subjects like art, industrial design, graphics? I keep going on about it because I like the format of your site a lot, but find clothes not as interesting as other things.

I like Penny Martin's writing. It's always articulate and interesting and has a nice rhythm and flow to it.

Overall the site still has a fresh feel. Ok time for a drink!

the emphasis on process and 'real-time' content is a fascinating direction for the site that harnesses the true power of the online space. but will this new emphasis eclipse the more complete type of interactive/multimedia projects that have previously found a home on SHOWstudio?

a side question, do you now accept corporate sponsorship?

Hi Vikram,

It's our intention that interactive/multimedia projects will be commissioned to compliment or document the process/rationale of the larger projects (or indeed be the main focus of one). As Penny said earlier in response to Karoline's posting, our intention is now less to represent the breadth and scope of creative work out there (plenty of other sites now do this) than to focus on the idea of documenting the process. For us, this is more interesting than the completed piece of work.

As for sponsorship, we've only done two small sponsored projects to date: both supported by telecommunications companies. We're certainly looking into ways of expanding our operations and this will undoubtedly involve establishing a continuous income stream of some form.
