First there was J.T. Leroy - who's memoirs seem to be made up and in fact may not even exist.
Then there was James Frey's bestselling memoir about drug addiction that has been discredited as being 98% bogus.

I'm working on my memoirs as we speak; I was abandoned as a child and raised by a pack of wolves in the wilderness of the Rocky mountains, only to be brainwashed into a cult and held captive on a commune in the mountains of southern Oregon where I was forced to participate in daily exorcisms until I escaped and courageously overcame my drug addiction through the encouragment of a social worker who saw the tortured artist within and helped me get my message of hope to the world and blah blah blah...

That and he has no actual talent, other than maybe some musical gift, although all his egotistical blah blah bullshit overshadows that greatly.
And there really is not much to say for someone who tells a 19 year old girl some "I am such a sad artist" bullshit just to try and fuck her. The "I haven't had coffee like this in 15 years because I'm a lonely, sad, and un-loved man" thing only works on the kind of girls that'll sleep with a doorknob.
Vincent, please give art what it needs, a long...drawn out, painful and bloody videotaped death.
