I went leica crazy last year, after going to a Getty event and chatting with Derek Hudson about how Leica's are the only real cameras to use for Rep work, so I sold all my other 35mm gear and decided I didn't need to eat for a few months..!

here in paris another demo/manifestation/ is about to begin as the boulevard fille du calvaire is cleared of traffic from republic to bastille crowds are gathering with precaritie banners a quasai homeless charity organisation who have mobilised contra-droite organisations for a huge demo in bastille oops i can here the whistles,the riot police are backed up down side streets...here i go F8 AND BE THERE.

I am envious, I use a Bronica at the moment for all my work, but would use Hasleblad if I had the funds.to do so..

wow that was good(todays march/demo in paris)....i dont know about the photos but i had a good time!...in my prefered method of working mini dv in left hand and fixed focus m3 in right.wide.boulevards marching flags balloons...out of all the factions on this march the kids impressed me the most-protesting about sarkosys new apprenticeship sszcheme.
they had a full size coffin,a great sound system,and were all dancing to the beet and singing en mass...all the rest of professional rent-a-mob were boring compared to the jeaunes..;they rocked!!

Iits a bit of a a struggle to decide what to use at the time though, dv or stills.
Its interesting how the French get things done, Wwe over here tend to acsept,sit and moan rather than do things.

Yes it was at the weekend. It was very nice, except for having to have root canal surgery on my tooth 40 minutes before the ceremony and dribbling all afternoon due to a 'numb face'. Also had to do an impromptou speech with less than a minute to prepare which was going well until I turned into Peter Kay...

Apart from that it was a lovely weekend, thanks for asking. Being best man is quite a stressful task though.

What exactly is root canal work? I've never sussed it out, sounds a bit like some kind of deep excavation gig.

I fucked up an interview the other month as I had went to the dentists in the morning before and was all dribbiling as well, must have looked a real muppet.
