Yes I had my cake and ate it yum yum. Not sure what this is but sounds a littal funny to me.

Actually, I have a Bernhard willhelm book, it has some images of crochet cakes and other baked food items. I think they may be small hats that his mother knitted for one of his collections. There are probably images online somewhere. Anyway - yeah sorry for being a bitch.
in my country, we had a lot of ridiculous cakes, especially at birthday parties, any chils can make their dream cake come true, on my 4th birhday, i had my birthday cake shaped like an old castle, with 3 castles in different colours.

I was working on the Bernhard Willhelm show Valentine speaks of and the cake baking theme was definately linked to a kind of nostalgic feeling, and its quite hard not to feel like a child in Patisserie Valerie- A fab cake shop in London Soho (and elsewhere)
And yes cake is riddiculessly kitch- does it have something to do with old ladies? They rock, but they are Very kitch!
