*Another thing, though tutors are not there to "baby sit" you, they are there to guide you, and help you make progress, after all, you ARE paying them for this!*

I agree 100%. Not that they have a responsibility to be your guardian angel, but sometimes teachers have this attitude that 'you're priviledged to be in my presence, you should feel lucky to even be here'. Really!! Because I thought with me paying arm-and-leg tuition PLUS taxes I was keeping you employed! So you are going to sit here and explain this to me until I understand and you will not brush me off or pass the buck, and frankly I could give a crap you'd rather be golfing.

Hello, yes, was just wondering what your education is, looking for recommendations through experience please, not on what you have heard. fine art is the avenue i hope to go down, but maybe if someone could recommend a good foundation, just so I know for sure that is what I want to do. Within London, moving there soon.

Finding a school is something you have to discover for yourself. Once you find it, you should visit it and ask questions from students and if possible graduates. There are plenty of school, you just have to search. Try googling it.

As for the poster for asked about Antwerp, just type the name of the school in a search engine, you'll find info on them, email them to ask for more info. If I remember correctly, there are some language requirements, look over everything carefully.

though your horror stories are probably true, and made you or your friends time at CSM rather miserable, im actually studying there now, tough not for foundation im doing a degree, and i find the students and the teachers really warming. its good to be around a competitive atmosphere-it pushes you. plus because of all the bullshit hype around the uni, you are surrounded with EXTREMELY talented students, and whether or not we like to admit it, that inspires us big time. so for anyone who was thinking of applying-id say go for it.

I agree, I graduated from CSM 2 years ago. It was an amazing 3 years and I would also encourage others to study there. The environment is really inspiring, and if you are prepared to work and make the most of the teaching, then it's definately worth attending.

I also had a psycho drawing teacher...until he stop behaving like that after I threatened him with a lawsuit.

I think there are horror stories in every school, famous or not. Well, at least I have the relief I didn“t had to pay for it (it was a free public school).

Well just want to say my friend currently attends LCF and his teacher has told him that he would get a bursary and now he is saying there is no money in the fashion MA. He also said to potential students on open day that they would be eligible for a bursary but there no money so why is blatantly lying? Well this means the dean at LCF allows this to happen or he is turning a blind eye.

I really hope some journalist is gets on this site because this would be a cool story and the truth into fashion collages and its staff.

I have never before heard so much drivel in my entire life, it appears as if people would rather listen to stories that may or may not be true than make there own minds up, from an objective point of view, reading all of the previous statements, it becomes clear that exstudents of CSM who have made such statements write in bitterness, they write with disapproval that their expectations of a vain glorious existence in a college, where the alumni has superseeded the aknowledgement that basic hard work, and individual determination and motivation are the key factors involved when striving for success. There are no opportunities at CSM and the sooner, people out there realise that you have to make your own opportunities in life the sooner we can all stop listening to these 'I'M A VICTIM'ramblings.

Has nothing to do with victim or not. The issue is that training at CSM is inadaquete. For fashion at least, I don't know about the other courses. Your point is that there are no opportunities at CSM, than why are people led to believe that there is? and why are they willing to pay so much to go there? And yes, people should choose the school they attend more objectively, and not based on a so-called rep. I'm only telling my friend's story so that people will think twice about where they go. They can choose to believe it or not.
