David Baily yesterday got an Honorary Doctorate Of Arts in Exeter, Devon, Presented by the University of Plymouth. Its about time that he got some recagnition for his in put in to the arts and culture of Britain, well done Baily.
Plymouth college of Art in conjunction with the University of Plymouth have been a great help and support to me through the years, and cover a wide spectrum of arts and media in a great geographical location. Which is insperational. Will Baily get a Knight hood one day?

now now children! Sebastion, you gotta stop retaliating to Bens comments, they are not directed at you so dont get upset about them. Personally i dont care if bailey gets a sainthood for his services to photography as there are better things to talk about. Like me for instance :-)

But honestly, the world has a lot of opinions that differ from your own personal views. Live with it, and stop getting upset. If you think bens opinions are sarky or cutting take your book round some agents or magazines and get a feel what the rest of the people in the business are like.

And I dont think tit for tat over who shoots better or whos website is best is really going to solve anything. keep all this noise for your personal spat thread.

As for honorary doctorates, they mean nothing, is a PR stunt in most cases that makes both parties look good, like book signings and keys to the city.

Having met Bailey on two ocassions I found him informative and friendly, slihghtly cheecky. I loved the documentary he did with Warhole. In the 1960s there was a film made loosly based around his life, called blowup, I think the film is now a classic period film of the sixties when flower power was the order of the day and open sexuality, and rebelion after the second world war was the fashion remer twiggy.? She is coming back as a model, now in her 40s
