Hooray for Obama!

Though I may not have gotten to vote the candidate I believed in, won. He may be young and many people might have thought he wasn’t going to have enough experience, but as we saw last night many think otherwise or he would have not be are new upcoming president.

He will help us get back to where we need to be in the economy. I believe there will be change.

"It's the answer that led those who've been told for so long by so many to be cynical and fearful and doubtful about what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day. It's been a long
time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this date in this election at this defining moment, change has come to America" said by Obama.

Go Obama!!!

One way or another History was made last night.
Never has the world been so involved in an American election, in Plymouth, People stayed up until 6 am in order to hear the results.
We must hope that Barrack Obama leads with dignity to all, respect, understanding, charisma, and an open mindid view.
Let’s get back to being inspired, creative, and have pride in others, our Countries, and our work.
It is now also time to see the worst President in American history charged with crimes against humanity, and for the damage to his own Country.
The madness that was the Bush administration, should be made accountable, as should anyone in politics that does serious damage to the lives of others.
Lets get back to some sort of sanity in world politics. Let the party start

Let the party start but as you said - what a poisonous chalice to be handed to Obama. I hope he manages the HUGE problems that are being "handed over" to him well.

I do see a kind of 'presidential' air about him when I look at him...

Obama managed to inspired so many, and the most important I think is that he has helped put back a sense of purpose into people's minds. That could have a profound affect for years to come. If he could inspired the government and the people to come together for greater good, then I think the US could go on to a path where they had never imagined before, where children of economically deprived neighborhoods could feel that they can't be stopped regardless of all the lack ofs. I hope Obama would pick up where John F. Kennedy left off. Last night in many parts of the US, the kind of celebration felt as if people had won a huge battle over the old establishment, and people felt it was their victory, that they actually made history.

I hope this ends the era of the US wanting military dominance in the world, instead we would see healthy exchanges of ideas, suggestions and collaborations among nations to keep the world safe. In his speech last night, he mentioned "gays and straights", I don't think I have ever heard a President say those words under such a circumstance and in such a way.

Speeches are speeches ... one shouldn't attach any intrinsic value to that ... it is theatre ... it is politics ... it is politicians giving people what they want to hear at the right place at he right time .... Having said that I do hope he proves wrong people's reservations about his past personal bad judgements in the matters of being able to choose .. call it allies or 'friends'.

In any case he does seem genuinely wanting to PLEASE the whole world as well as to push forward with GLOBALIZATION .... In any case as far as logic goes you can NEVER EVER please the whole wide world ... totally and absolutely IMPOSSIBLE !

The ARABS see him already as their future new pleasing ally and in an understandably way their MUSLIM brother ! ... that could mean trouble with them if he doesn't give them what they want ... as well as possible trouble with Israel ... he seems to be the type that prefers to use appeasement ... but we do know the disastrous consequences of such policy in the past !!! ...

After the HONEYMOON is over then we will indeed see what OBAMA is really POLITICALLY and ideologically made of .... It is already in the open that he could have some confrontation with CANADA on trade matters!

And as for ruling out war while OBAMA is president of the USA ... we could be in for a big surprise ..... the more appeasing AMERICA becomes the bolder the bullies around the world get .... it does not mean that IRAN will stop building nuclear weapons or that China is going to become less ambitious to dominate the world stage or that Russia is going to become more Democratic ..... BUSH or no BUSH !

I sincerely do hope that he can create the MIRACLES he has promised he is able to deliver ..... just like a would be MESSIAH ! ... May the FORCE be with him !

No I'm neither for OBAMA nor for Mac CAIN ... they are both politicians and I'm very suspicious of POLITICIANS .... when it comes to politics, I'm afraid I don't let myself be easily fool by to good to be true speeches .... I just wait and see after the HONEYMOON is over to see if they prove me right or wrong .... most of the time I pray the prove me WRONG ... unfortunately they always proof me RIGHT ! ... and I'm not going to fall in that politically correct trap ... that I should personally be less critical of OBAMA because of his skin colour !!! I personally find it an insult and very patronising to think that just because someone is black it should be judge .... 'kindly' if only not to upset ... anyone ! .. I personally find that the whole OBAMA 'happening' has reached the proportions of a Sainthood !
That is not helpful to him because his supporters from the whole spectrum have created such huge high expectations that that might become his Achilles' heel .

I always believe people should be judged on their talents and credibility not on their race ... but the people who are always pointing the finger to others in that matter are always the ones who don't dare to be critical ..... that I find it ....totally patronising towards those they pretend to be kind to !!!

And by the way ......... CLINTON turned out in the end to be a big Pharisee ... so there you are .... in the matters of POLITICS !
