There was an outrageously stupid column in the Guardian on this yesterday arguing the Russian invasion is all the West's fault.

Because Georgia is resisting Russian power, that means they are merely stooges for Western Imperialism, so what else is poor old Russia supposed to do? Just idiotic the lengths some pundits will go to to revel in their relativist pseudo-sophistication.
