Human shared qualities aside, I think the Tibetan issue isn't a matter of hate, it's an issue with China's territorial and political dominance in that region. Same as in other western part of China where some minorities live, the issue of territorial dominance within minority regions have been issues through and through in Chinese history. I feel if Tibet is ever independent, it's only a matter of time before another neighboring country try to dominate it. Tibet is located in a crucial region militarily, even if China has left Tibet, Tibet would need serious humanitarian aids, food aids and army protection in order to protect itself in this dangerous modern time. The world is in the process of setting new orders, I do hope things will resolve peacefully, but I really don't think Chinese gov't will give up Tibet, they will let Tibetans gov't themselves but as long as they don't contradict with central gov't in Peking. Look at how long it took between Great Britain and Ireland to resolve their conflict and issues.
