what about fur? should it be stopped, is there any real need for it fashion-wise?

I always feel rather hypocritical being anti-fur whilst at the same time wearing leather. It's a tough line to walk.

Fur I can't afford, and would never buy, but on a more real level my biggest problem is trying to find nice, non-leather, shoes, but it's tough... any suggestions?

It depends what you mean by fur.

I decided a while ago that wearing the leathers/furs/wools etc of animals whose meat I also eat isn't a problem for me, but that's where I draw the line (though silk is tricky one...)

My boyfriend's son is vegan and he swears by Blackspot, though there's not much choice design-wise. So I'd be really interested to know what other options there are too.

i don't have a problem wearing fur or leather. of course, i'd prefer that the animals are treated humanely before they're killed

Well, if it is used in good manner at lease we know that little thing has scarified its life for a greater cost and they does get attention from public. But seriously it is nothing compare to how medical experiments treat lives other than human being, the killing for fur is bloody but the pain is short, unlike in medical lab they keep it alive under brutal conditions or even torture as long as they needed “it”. And please come to think of this, the test run on mouse, cat, dog has almost no value on improving human medical condition, we are different species after all, even ape that shares 98% DNA with us can not match up to a real human.
