Alright all: Let's call this quits. In case you aren't aware Not Fun For Everyone is what we like to call a Troll ... you can find out more about them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

We aren't too keen on Trolls round here, but we've tried to be patient with this one - and some of the others on the forum. We're awarding a second yellow card to Not Fun For Everyone. And if (s)he continue it will be Red Card time.

Please remember : don't feed the Troll.

NFFE: "I am a patient man. I wait, I wait, I wait."

Stem the flow of what discussion - Candice Falmer, Euro Pride, Aretha puking onto a t-shirt? I do love how the interweb has resulted in its own colloquial language (& theory) - Trolls, Godwin's Law, blah! (And that people actually use it.) Can I just say, though I criticise others & projects, what's the point of SHOWstudio & this forum when the people who voice their opposition to the current project get shouted down - the only discussion over the last few weeks has been about SuperSuper/Pugh - and I am sorry to say I don't like what they/he does. If someone posts a thread about something other than this FASH-OFF stuff, and not SPAM, then I'd prob have something to say about it.

Ok, so I (may) have been aggressive, but it's a joke - when people launch an attack on me, I don't really get upset or take it to heart. Life would be boring on here without divergence of opinion - all you'd get would be sycophants placating the current scene.

But anyway, I don't really care, at the end of the day Dorian this is just a website & fashion is just clothes, right? x x

Ah, ever the classic Troll. Must always have the last word.

If you want to talk about something else then why not start a topic (within the scope of Art/Fashion/Photography) that interests you and you feel may appeal to others? Or are you scared of the criticism you might get?

If I was scared of the criticism, Dorian, I wouldn't even have replied to your initial response. I have posted before, about European design(ers), and got a lacklustre reply; I've responded to our more interesting topics like Margiela, even the Sapeurs. As much as I thought F:lux was trying to atagonise me yesterday with the post "Fashion Fun For Everyone," I did genuinely (and to HER credit) think the Société Ambianceurs et Persons Élégants were apt for discussion (i.e. because they're actually interesting) within the parameters of this forum - but, you see, that thread didn't even make it off the ground because, I guess, people don't want to discuss such things, they like the bitching, innit (as much as they profess to the former.)

The only posts of late have been about FASH-OFF & website/video requests. Would you have wanted me to start another thread about FASH-OFF? Regardless, I don't want to be coming back & forth on this, I don't particularly care if I'm a "troll" or not. C'est la vie!

Oh, but I wasn't criticising you. I was simply stating some facts. Very different.

I find it a sad, but reasonable, truth that people like bitching. But you really need to hold yourself back sometimes. You've got an urge to react.

Your initial response to the "Fashion fun For Everyone" would stop me scrolling down as i'd immediately think 'oh, another topic that someones shat all over'. Your own singular point of view (and that of select others) has caused the problems.

If you haven't got anything useful to add, don't feel compelled to say it. Wait, and something you are interested in will come along, or you'll have something interesting to say. It's that easy.

That's why F:lux started a new topic, but you immediately tore it down. Not the actions of the reasonable adult you'd like yourself to be.

In no funs defence i also believed that the thread in question was aimed at him, it was a carry over from the previous day...and thats why it caused silly reactions (myself included).

Fair point: The topic title wasn't the best choice on F:lux's part.

However the pointless re-actions aren't needed. All this is producing is a race to the bottom. Can we all call it quits and start over again and play with a bit more empathy and courtesy?

It didn't really bother me, either way. But, sure, I'll call it quits. I still want to be a troll, though x x

Hello, just popping in here for the last time to 'fess up -it's true, the topic title was unfortunate and provocative. But the actual topic is hopefully interesting enough to merit a better level of discussion. Cheers!

Ah, that's better.

NFFE: noticed you list Optimo as one of your listening habits. Do you know Keith McIvor (Twitch) of said organisation then?
