hi im a fashion student in and am really intrested in international fashion i really liked your work over there. Is this all you do? I would really like to try working for companies like your's, do you think that you would do work placements or something.

hi there, thanx for your message....i assist the creative director, chris lorimer at mint condition....and its a small team of only 3 of us, but we P.R and represent local labels such as cybele. The market here is small, but the fashion and quality is unique and distinctive as new zealand is quite isolated from most outside influences. Finding a job here within this specialised area of fashion marketing and P.R is not difficult at all, if you have the passion to do it. thanks for checking it out! i also work for ralph lauren in new zealand, so its a good balance.

yes nat, an auckland based magazine called Pavement run by Barney McDonald. It's in a similar vein to Oyster I guess but a bit less 'glossy' fashion..maybe...more natural.
It's been going about 10 years or so and is a great mag.
I'm not sure where you can buy it here and they don't have a website but I think you can order it from isubscribe I think.

oh, is there alot of work down under for photo assistants

I couldn't say really, photography not being my field..but I'm sure there are the same sorts of opportunities that you get in any country. NZ is obviously alot smaller in size than Oz so that might be a factor in job hunting though..
