Hello!
I am looking to be a make-up artist's assistant here in NYC.
I am experienced in assisting in Sydney, Australia and a few jobs here. I am a mature minded and a dedicated "starting out" make-up artist who understands professionalism and that it may take a few years of assisting to eventually become a fashion make-up artist.
I currently cannot accept paid work as I am waiting for my work permit to come through- and immigration has stated it may take up to 3 months. Once I do receive my permit, I will be seeking paid work as an assistant.
In return (instead of being paid) I would love to have a true make-up mentor. I believe in an industry that takes care of itself and would love to assist someone who believes in investing in the future of the industry rather than seeing me as future competion.
I was being mentored by a make-up artist here in NYC, but sadly for me, she has moved to London.
I would really love to develop a professional relationship with a great make-up artist. In return for your great mentoring- you will have a reliable, loyal, energetic, passionate and professional assistant.
I am more than willing to be interviewd by you in person first, as I understand that the chemistry must also fit.
I can email you images of my own work if you are interested.
I look forward to seeing your work also!
If anyone has any advice or feedback for this post- please do not hesitate. All constructive feedback is warmly welcomed...
