Im planning to put together a small exhibition in London. Featuring garments, accessories, illustration and photography inspired by descriptions of dress in the novels of Emile Zola. I'm interested in any creators who have already been inspired by Zolas text, or anyone who would be interested in collaborating on this project, either on the creation of an object or a whole collection. The exhibition will hopefully be realised in November 2007, possibly in the gallery of Foyles bookshop on Charing Cross Road.

i'm so glad you like the idea. it is getting rather late to commission new objects. i went to some of the degree shows at various colleges in London and saw some beautiful garments and accessories that could form part of my project.... do read some zola though! i've been re-reading 'the kill' and the descriptions of clothes and fabrics are sensational.
