I fully understand what dyslexia is as I said my partner is severely dyslexic, so you're right no need to explain to us mere oh so unwise ones! . Of course it can be talked about its not a taboo subject. Just think it's not for you to mention Sebastion and his dyslexia like it's your battle when it's not. You brought it up as if to say leave him alone he's dyslexic you know, I think its demeaning when he is fully capable! Anyway this truly is irrelavent and quite boring!

Dyslexia is a funny one because when youre at school you get so much stick- especially from your teachers (In my case my bad handwritting supposedly showed I had a lack of respect for my work) and then later in life you find out that many of the most creative people are Dyslexic. Its my finding the higher up the creative ladder you go the more concentrated it is. And at the very top amongst the 'Real players' its those who are not dyslexic who are rare. Left handed people and colour blind people are also up there.
Im all of the above and I enjoy nothing more than hearing someone attempt to condersend me, especially as most of those people have achieved alot less than me despite having none of the so-called disadvantages such as Dyslexia.

To be honest I don't care if Sebastion is dyslexic, gay or anything else. I don't care that his opinions are generally formed from reading guardian supplements, or that he posts threads such as 'king kong won an oscar'. I don't even care that whenever someone says 'oh, actually I've no idea what you are on about Sebastion' there are a barrage of people screaming 'dyslexia' or 'homophobe!'. I don't care that sarcasm wit or any other form of humour is wasted in replies to his posts.

If you scroll up and read through this thread, it's all us lot arguing about the fact that an irrelevant post happenned in the first place. Who cares, can we just kill it?

Not really defending anyone or anything, Just being smug about being dyslexic and hugely creative at the same time.
I wouldnt call it a reaction to any particular statement made about Sebastion or anyone else, just a selfish backslap for all the dyslexics out there.
Im pretty beyond getting excited by anything said on the forum probably reflected in the fact that i dont post much anymore,but that also has to do with artistic differences between me and "The Studio"
Anyway its all pretty funny, and thats something. I think "Escalating climate of suspision and fear" would make a great album title, maybe if Rage against the machine reformed?
