ART as Medium has lost its power...The MANIPULATIVE MEDIA Rules NO Matter What! ......and VANITY is the only reason to be bothered.......Has Art Become the personification of ' The Portrait of Dorian Gray ' ? or just in state of DECAY ?????

DECAYING the odor of decaying fish. • [ trans. ] cause to rot or decompose : the fungus will decay soft timber. • (of a building or area) fall into disrepair; deteriorate : urban neighborhoods decay when elevated freeways replace surface roads. • decline in quality, power, or vigor : the moral authority of the party was decaying.

Manipulative media is an art form in itself. To do it well, to be able to elevate the mind, and move emotions; how to get there isn't as important as the intention-to create art using digital technology to manipulate and create. Ask little children how they feel, they don't have the same issues and prejudice as some adults do with this technology.

i'd like people to write in coherent paragraphs please.

has art decayed?
i think it's a silly question.
the real news is the merging of fine arts and applied arts, obviating the problem of kitsch
and the considerance of fashion as an art is strong evidence for this.

...." silly "........to chew gum is silly to certain people....to be a fashion victim is silly......to even ask something people does not understand for whatever reason is silly......silly is what you make of it....to buy a picture for millions is silly......the importance of doing something silly is to measure people's intelligence........what is silly to you might be important to others....but to use one's own concept of silliness to judge others.......that is another story..........! LOL :):)....
.......to think logically without being patronising......that is again another story......:):)

Art hasn't decayed, the artists have.
Who agrees?

The reason why the art world changes, is dynamic, is because people always find something new to call silly, tasteless and 'decayed'.
I don't think art has lost power. People have just become more conscious of the fact that a lot of people don't seem to care for it.

There will be art with the purest intention to create and experiment, and there are acts that are just self-conscious and for attention sake only, but then there are observants who are genuinely curious and interested, and there are those who are cynical and would sneer.
