I have just checked out issue two of Wonder land magazine, and my personel opininon is that the magazine has got it right this time,. There are great pictures taken in a more traditional way with a high gloss finish. I was not over imprest with the first issue as mentined before,
I was wondering what the target audience is though,is it the same as Dazed and i-D if so maby competition could be a littal hard. The more quality magazines like these the better, testing the limits of creative arts and fashion, and outlets for some very talented creatives.
Its good also to see that show studios is getting very popular, I have done my bit for promoting it to art colleges in my area.

I think this magazine is really quite shit.
I'm really digging I-D at the moment though. I think in the past it been up and down, but it's been consistently good for a while.
But I think Dazed seems to be at an all time low. What happened? That place could do with a big shake up, along with a new Art Director, Editor and Marketing department.

What are other peoples opinions on Dazed, I-D etc?

I was wondering Valentine what it is you dont like about Wonder Land Magazine?.
Where do you think Dazed is going wrong?, has it got tired.
Dont forget that the makers of Dazed and Confused have a whole shed load of magazines which include, Another Magazine, Another Man Magazine etc.
Both magazines are very similar apart from there target audience.
I would like to see difrent creative image makers working separetly on both magazines so that they have some sort of varying identity behind them.
I like the graffical strength in the second edition of Wonder Land especialy the picture of gymnasts.
Dazed and Confused is more of an art house fashion magazine and I prefer to see it when it is experimenting a lot more. The last few editions have lost there original touch for me also.

Chris why do you have two user names, Sebastion and Chris summerfield? And how is it you can't spellcas Sebastion and can as Chris?

That's what I was thinking!

Sebastion is cool. Leave him alone. Worry about your own lives.

The recent issue of Wonderland I think is much better than the first. I think as a mag to start off it's not bad and has done well. I look forward to seeing how it progresses.

i-D and Dazed had slipped there for a bit I think, but they seem to have pulled the plug out and got things going again. They've been so good for so long that it had to happen. It seemed that it was just the same photogrphers, stylists and therefore look every issue.

Some people have nothing better to do than pick on others. I thought this site was about aert and fashion not for having personel attacks at people. As said before we should all be working together in a constructive way.
I am sure that if we all look hard enough we could tear each other to pieces but at the end of the day whats the point. Lets use this site for what its meant to be for.

I agree, but why are you using two names and why can you spell on one and not the other, not picking on you (just asking a question :)

Wonderland magazine is ok, the funding to set it up came from the uk tv show dragons den did it not?

Hi people- I saw that episode of Dragons den and i remember the guy from Wonderland pitching the idea and the "investers' declined to invest because he wouldnt sell more than 50% of the mag, which i thought was pretty brave and totally right. It stuck in my mind because he was formally of Visionaire magazine and had liscenced the name Wonderland which was also smart. Havent seen an issue yet(they dont sellit here in Reykjavik!) but from website it looks like early Pop magazine. Good luck to them!

Not quite early Pop Magazine yet, I dont think, but maby it needs to find its own style and identity.
If you email me at www.ccsphoto12@hotmail.com I will get a copy and send it on to you. All the best.
Going back to Dazed and Confused I checked out the latest December issue again and thought that it had some greast photography in it, I would like to see it go a littal more art orientated like it used to be though.
