Why is it that British editorial tend to neglect many of the younger European designers? I know it is important to reflect what's happening in London (many might say, unfortunately, but that's been discussed, I guess), and promote local talent, but it seems to me that i.D., Dazed etc. would be more interesting if they reflected more than simply what's going on in London (and the big fashion houses) - designers like Cathy Pill, Lutz, Bless, Cosmic Wonder, Petar Petrov, Fabrics Interseason, Romain Kremmer, Melodie Wolf, Haider Ackermann, Hartmann Nordenholz, Pelican Avenue, Matthew Ames, Peter Pilotto etc. Just seems odd (I know it's who you know, I ain't naive) but many London-based designers get editorial in magazines like Purple, Self-Service, Jalouse...Hmmm

its because european designers often design with only design in mind.. They often produce naff pieces that are unworkable for stylists who want cool things.-easy pieces british design has a huge influence from british music, and its very deep, everything else seems quaint in comparison and uncool.
