Imagery and advertising

Showing messages 1–6 of 6

Hi, does anyone know of any leads on the relationship between imagery and modern day advertising? i.e. books or websites etc Something with some depth?

Possibly something that looks at the psychology or politics behind well known advertising campaigns. I haven’t managed to find many books online but would appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction

Thanks, Patch

"Image makers, Image takers" by Anne-Celine Jaeger on Thames&Hudson is great and has interviews with art buyers etc as well as with top photographers like Mario Sorrenti.
"Fashion and Advertising" by Magdalene Keaney on Rotovision covers it and asks prominent photographers like Solve Sundsbo, Jason Evans, Warren Du Preez/Nick Thornton Jones.
Both are very direct, honest and free from 'fluff'.
