Hello everybody,

I would love to receive some feedback about the quality of my work; you can download a slideshow presentation of it here: www.borissov.it/borissov.zip (Unfortunately, it is not Mac-compatible, I am working on that issue). It includes photographs from my first jobs for Elle and Maxim magazines, and also some minor Bulgarian fashion mags as well (I am Bulgarian, but living and working in Milan).
I would really appreciate any form of comment and critique, don't spare me anything! I have a very, very important meeting with the art director of one of the biggest mags (on world level) next Monday, so I want to show him only the best of my work, maybe around 20-30 photographs, which I am struggling to choose... Any help with that would be very appreciated! And all advices about the interview are welcome too :-)

Thank you in advance!

I like your work. The above photo's falling angle/dignifed vertical work very well together. Both edgy and strong, which is very catchy to the eye. My personal favourite from the same/similar shoot (shown on your blog).
In relation to interviews... I'm possibly the most useless interviewee in the universe. I can however say, keep a tight portfolio and organise it to impress the intended audience. Find out who you will be having it with and do a bit of research on them. Out of interest what magazine is it?
GOOD LUCK!!

Photodex presenter is a bit sluggish, both in download and running. See if you can find a web/multimedia developer on SHOWstudio that can help you make a website. Your work deserves it! :D

More comments on work... I really, really, like the b&w photo of the girl looking at her tattooed ankle. Brill! It is quite clear what photographs are the best and I believe you can easily get 30 good photographs out of this set. I'm busy right now, but please feel free to email me and I can see if I can get some fashion photography/stylist pals together to pick out what they feel are your better photographs.

Again... best of luck :D

Thank you for the feedback, guys!

Galileo: this is from my latest shooting, about a week ago, for a Bulgarian magazine... The girl is an upcoming star, remember that face... She started just a couple months ago and has already done Vogue, Cosmo and a couple of more mags... And, of course, she had the honour to be shot by me, too :D

Josh Baker: Thanks, man, I appreciate it! I already found a webdesigner that is going to rebuild my website, and, best of all, for free! Since right now I am the starving kind of photographer, literally :-) As for the interview - I've already met the guy, 5 or 6 months ago, but I had a really poor portfolio back then (almost all the stuff that you see is shot in the last 4-6 months, most of it in the last 2, besides it's still ridiculously poor, I feel depressed when I look at what others are doing in the meantime). The interview is for Elle Italy, and I am not quite sure that I am good enough for that level. I have already shot an editorial for Elle Bulgaria, but it's a totally different thing, of course... I feel in 3d grade again, waiting to be called at the black board... :-)
The photograph that you mentioned is part of a calendar for an oil producing company in Bulgaria, it's called "Glam...our?" (I suck in titles :-)), it is one of my favorites too! Strangely enough, very few people seem to like it...
I will drop you a line, since you were so kind to invite me to, I really can't seem to pick the right pics and to arrange them! I have organized a meeting tomorrow at my place with my stylist, mua and my all-time favorite model (the one from the attached pic and also from the cofee shot, and the outside lingerie night shots), so we will have a brainstorim session :)

Thanks again! Best of luck :-)

.....I noticed through some of your work the magic of being able to translate a mood which has the effect of as if a scene is taking place ............like a script with the dynamics of a film in motion
