Hi, I'm graduating as a graphic designer with a minor in photography this year and I want to go study photography full time next year. Mainly conceptual and fashion photography but with a good techincal basis. It's also very important that the surrounding of the school is very interesting. I live in Brussels now but when I compare the opportunities and activity in the fashion world in Brussels to NY or Paris or London it's just a huge difference (obviously).

I've heard about Tisch at NYU in New York being quite good and about a Miami Ad school having a Fashion Photography course in Miami, any other recommendations?

I would pick a school situates in the center of the fashion/advertising industries, because you would have so many resources to find work as an assistant for photographer or shoot with models who need test shots for their portfolios, or collaborate on projects with other fashion design students. If you are serious about working in fashion, you need to move to NY or London or Paris, Italy, all the fashion capitals. You have instant access to all the resources and the frantic energy can be a great source of inspiration for fashion pictures.

Yeah I know, I'm planing on moving to NY next year cus I have a friend working there at Jed Root, only problem with NY for schools is that they can get really really expensive so they'd really have to be worth their money.

Anyone with specific recomendations?

Thx btw KaWai!
