The last question is funny.

a few weeks ago in paris i was asked by a woman from loreal which "fashion"photographers i liked i replied nick knight because hes consistently brilliant.she then told me hes not a fashion photographer hes a BEAUTY photographer!this was news to me....its interesting how people attempt to categorize photographers...a good photo is a good photo....HEY NICK-thanks for being a judge,thanks for the money.

The work is brilliant, powerful - but it isn't that easy to find, even here. This whole site is extraordinary and vibrant, and it's amazing to have access to so much film footage showing his creative processes, which are also pieces of work in their own right. But the end results? It's a little like eating a donut you expect to have a lot of jam in, and not finding so much in the middle as you'd hoped for? Nick Knight is great, I love the movement in his pictures.

i love him!!!!! he's one of my favourites... especially love what he done to bjork and pirelli's 2004 calendar!
