i think relaunching/ continuing brands without the original designer is all about profit for the new owners (as is all fashion, really) so any continuity is likely to be symbolic... really, they're catering to the market. and making brilliant clothes.

i enjoyed looking at dior homme's young and rebellious looks and i compiled my favourite collection since 2003 at

and perhaps you want to try the unisex looks/tailoring in pudel, the almost always military in wooyoungmi, the clean and simple from jil sander and the lost yet innocent in raf simons.

st. sevres- nicolas ghesquiere and raf simons come to mind as designers working under someone else's name, also the new husband-wife team for helmut lang and hedi slimane. i'm sorry, all those names are very well known- were you looking for something esoteric?

No, it was unclear to me who 'they' represented. I'm with you now. I'm always looking for or interested in understanding something which might be esoteric, but your respnse was not disappointing. I was just thinking how I like the way the SHOWstudio forums on the homepage change colour when the window is refreshed. The colour combination I just noticed reminded me of neapolitan ice-cream.

i'm fond of it, actually. all the dirt and grime and grafitti excites me, contradicting the stereotypical italianness one finds elsewhere. and it's a former royal capitol. florence may be cute, but naples is intriguing.
