I hope that they trim there nails and varnish them
"I don't design shoes for men - there's nothing erotic about a man's foot."
So said Christian Louboutin in the Observer Sunday supplement. Next to this quote there’s a photo of him, where he looks a bit like he could have just stepped out of a Manet apart from the orange shirt and… strappy gold wedge-heeled sandals from his 2006 summer collection. And, well, it does something for me!
What I want to know in particular is, if someone did start thinking of men’s feet as erotic, would men’s sandals improve? Would men wear high heels? Would someone clever bring out special depilating products for men’s toes?
More generally, how fashion conscious are people here? Nobody seems to talk about it much.
And, while on the subject of feet, am I the only person to have noticed that Pamela Anderson’s are beautiful?

For he is a didicated follower of fashion, there could be a song there somewhere flux.
It seems to me that it is just expensive trainers that guys wear in this neck of the woods, possibly means they can run faster after getting up to mischief.(joking of course)

I guess that mainstream western fashion hasnt seemed to re-interpret masculine footwear beyond 'expensive trainers' ...but they do allude to the ultimate in eroticism ... $$$ ... that coupled with the supposed individuality of the wearer from the rarity and desirability of the make / model / designer collaboration, and a certain anti-establishment attitude of wearing trainers at all times showing our hunter-sports masculinity underpinning our whole persona? but that is all western-male-eroticism boils down to? this darwin-esque critique?
Male foot eroticisim is alive and well in the 'stomping' community?
I think Japanese mens shoes are much more adventurous and interesting - more highly designed dress shoes - more detail, much more sexy. More please.
But Please no womens shoes on men. f:lux what are you thinking?

Yeah 'erotic footwear for men' would be whatever impresses the girls, which is what we're already wearing.
Nobody wants to see our feet, ugh

Believe it or not, I never have any problem with the ladies when I go out wearing heels. Some (about 1/5th) have said they're turned on by it. As one woman with whom I talked the night away put it, "I find Lenny Kravitz amazing. At least he's confident enough in his own masculinity that he'll wear whatever he wants to wear."
I'm not talking about spaghetti-strap sandals, but rather, a good three to four inch block or taper-heeled boot beneath jeans. I don't know why, but it seems it drives some of them a bit wild :)
As a fully heterosexual male, I was absolutely convinced it would have the opposite effect, but what I'm finding is that about 20% are turned off by it, 60% don't care, but are willing to talk or dance the night away with me anyway, and 20% are turned on by it.
I'm almost afraid that if most guys began wearing heels it'd become yesterday's news and spoil things with the quite hot 20% who are attracted to it!
The last time I went out in heels, two blonds, one with a boyfriend, dragged me to an all-night dance club that I didn't get home from until 8 am. I'm 18 years older than either of them (both are of age...), so go figure.

Seriously, are there any girls out there that actually like guys in sandals?

Ladies show fashion in the past have done a lot of damage to the lower leg muscles, and the re shaping of the foot in order to fit the tight show size, especialy when wearing high heels. They are also not very pactical when crossing cattle grids and drains, the person wearing them tends to fall over.
Imagin a poor farmer or even a fire man.
I think jesus boots( sandels are a lot better or a re interpritation of the deck shoes posibly transparent so that you get a chance of seeing the well manicoured feet in them.
Masby a trainers type soul and an open plan top with straps, re inventing the roman shoe.
Very taxing Flux?
