I think its interesting to see the way certain Fashion designers use their creative skills to produce pieces of work. I love seeing the production of unique and "out of the box" creations. Sandra Backlund is one of those designers that really think out of the box but in a definent positive way. Maybe her swedish heritage had a influence on her designs or maybe other cultures had a influence, either way her designs are something i have never seen before. It is very creative and innovative how she uses volume in her sweaters. The volume makes her designs appear more sculpture like. Backlund adds volume to the arms of the sweater, the neckline, the bottom, the top, or the middle. Some pieces she addes ruffles which addes even more volume to the piece. Her collection has so much detail. its interesting how she has some pieces with cut outs that expose a little bit of the stomach or side. Althogether this look is very creative and unique.

SHE IS AN ARTIST IN THE TRUE MEANING .... and she does deserve more exposure ! ... wouldn't it be wonderful if FASHION MAGAZINES like VOGUE could out of sheer sense of promoting unique unknown talent of great design ..... that VOGUE and the rest could dedicate one page of their advertising space very GENEROUSLY to UNKNOWN FASHION TALENT from all over the world !
So Anna if you happen to read this .... think about it ! .... and allow the 'GATE KEEPERS ' to have their saying at no cost !, your art of persuasion could achieve wonders .... but of course it is all wishful thinking, I realise that ! :):)
