What is political fashion? Using organic materials to make clothes could be a political statement in terms of fashion-but should it be a natural evolution, out of necessity, and makes sense to daily lives, instead of making a political statement just for the sake of making a political statement? The Mao's jacket was political fashion, it wasn't out of necessity, but just as a reaction against bourgeois decadence, but any styles against Mao's jacket could be viewed as political fashion as well.

..... after having seen the various political fashion films presented in the project and given the diversity of approaches on how the 'political messages' were treated and conveyed to the audience ... I was wondering too what is indeed, indeed, a 'political fashion message' and who succeeded in addressing his political concern with success ?... apart from the aesthetics of course !
I do hope that the project will not die here .... but on the contrary go on to the next stage ...... dissect the films in question in a positive and constructive spirit .... after all the political issues of yesteryears , naturally , do not seem to concern us anymore as much as the true politically urgent issues of our very troubled present ...... and mind you we do have plenty still untreated in the boiler room ! ...
