Surely I'm not alone in noticing the King Kong reference
in the latest American Vogue's cover picture.
I find it pretty distasteful and unacceptable in this day and age.
What were they thinking of ?

I wonder if André Leon Talley himself felt offended by the VOGUE cover ?... a cover which by the way didn't refer to any negative association to me personally either but that was until the 'negative' reference was made clear to us by those who started to make the link !! ...but then again some people cannot move on!, and they do seem indeed to have a more 'positive' way of seeing or looking at things than us the general public :):):) and are certainly eagerly searching for the 'positive' in every little detail to be found of possible use :):):
Some people, we must assume, cannot and will not move on, in that respect it does seem that André hasn't got any hung ups about the cover .... a very generous personality by the way !
On the other hand the Anna Wintour cartoon is clearly drawn with express and malicious intention of being offensive .... a lesson on how to be tolerant and royal , I suppose !!!
The cartoonist is without doubt a great bridge builder when it comes to public relations :):)
