Hey, your examples are more unusual and racy than anything I could find online, so thanks!

I'm guessing that the basic problem with reflective materials is that it's perceived to be inherently tacky - and so it can be if it's practical applications are ignored?

Problems = opportunities etc

Still, I'm genuinely surprised by how little usage of reflective material - fashionable and practical - there is in existance.

I saw yesterday evening two rubbish collectors wearing those jackets with reflective strips and then it occurred to me that the 'association' perhaps may have something to do with it .... it's usually road workers who wear the reflective material on their orange colour jacks for obvious reasons of course .... but like you said ' Problems = opportunities' ... although I have already found some partywear with reflective material sawn to it .......

Sometime ago I bought a shirt with beautiful patterns in purple hues to go to a party ... the fabric had fluorescent motifs printed on it ... still some people thought to be kind of tacky ! ... and yet it is a very well designed shirt with a great fit ... so there you are in the matters of ' associations '

..... perhaps one way around the reflective strips could be some kind of high tech fabric with interwoven invisible ' reflective ' material with really nice patterns that when exposed to electric light it just makes itself visible like magic .... in that way you don't need to look like a ' traffic cone ' all day long .... and the any ' tacky ' feeling about it can then be subdued :):)
