Political Fashion as a theme seems intrinsically tied up with the politics of sex and appearance; perhaps it was inevitable that make-up supremo Val Garland’s film would address these issues. ‘Push’ is exquisitely colour-saturated, thought-provoking and technically flawless – like all of Val’s work.

Models on swings go back and forth while 'art' type soundtrack plays on, at the end of the piece model takes off white mask and smears her mascara over her eyes while crying. The film is not thought provoking or subtle in any way: make me think of.....

nice film in general ..... but it makes me think that the model is going through a kind of personal crisis :):) ... or have just heard some bad news as to make her want to cry ....

It looks like she is upset about the wrong brand of mascara, maybe she wanted Dior but got Boots No6.

this film is very beautiful. Vals job is to make people flawless and fabulous. wiping away all of the hard work is proberbly quite satisfying for her and the total opposite to what she creates.

Great film! Only complaint is it's too short.
