Wow!
A unique chance to see the undiscovered, historic film footage of one of the most influential fashion photographers of all time. Three beautiful film edits by SHOWstudio, created in collaboration with Adam Mufti and Olivier Alary, are joined by an essay featuring Erwin Blumenfeld’s comprehensive film holdings as well as an illustrated timeline of the photographer’s life and career and an exclusive interview with his son, writer Yorick Blumenfeld.

I must say that what I like about his work, as I see it from today's sophistication in advertising and particularly in the field of fashion, is that he really understood the very early on the power of seduction, sex and the illusion of 'packaging' as an important device for image making...Somehow he was to ahead for his time because he didn't have the technical 'tools' that are available today and yet the message is as strong then.....
There is also an undertone of ' what you see is what you make of it, but beware...of the false illusions of advertising'.........surreal and fascinating !...just like how it is meant to be in beauty and fashion in order to be able to exercise its power and make believe......
