Art Director

Thomas Lenthal is an art director based in Paris. He began his career as Art Director at French Glamour and went on to work with Mario Testino and Carine Roitfield on several advertising campaigns for Missoni. Lenthal also designed Mario Testino’s ‘No Objections’ book and was appointed Art Supervisor at Christian Dior, where he worked on the advertising campaigns with the Nick Knight. In 1999, he co-founded Numéro magazine with the fashion writer Stephen Todd. As Creative Director, Lenthal has brought a distinctive aesthetic to the magazine working with photographers including Sølve Sundsbø, Sean Ellis, Inez Van Lamlsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. An enthusiastic collector of photography himself, Lenthal has also collaborated with high-profile fashion houses including Tod’s, Kenzo, Lanvin, Cacharel. Since 2002, Lenthal worked on the Yves Saint Laurent beauty campaigns with Tom Ford and has recently begun to work with Stefano Pilati on the Yves Saint Laurent ready-to-wear advertising campaigns.
