Fashion Designer

Rie Rasmussen is a fashion designer living and working in London. Born in Denmark, Rasmussen studied design in her native country and also in Florence and New York aged 17, completing courses at both Parsons School of Art and a school of classic couture draping, inspired by an introduction to designer Isabel Toledo. She came to London in 2005, working with the fashion designers Marios Schwab and Ann-Sofie Back prior to graduation in BA Womenswear. Her designs utilise unusual materials and treatments, challenging and often inverting conventional ideas of high fashion and luxury. Rasmussen is currently focussing on expanding her signature accessories line.
