>Felipe Oliveira Baptista

Fashion Designer

Portuguese born designer Felipe Oliviera Baptista left Lisbon in 2004 to study fashion design at Kingston University, London. Upon graduating, Baptista went on to work for Max Mara, Christophe Lemaire and Cerutti. In 2002, he won the Fashion Award at the Festival International des Arts de la Mode in Hyeres and in 2003 the ANDAM and LVMH awards for his 2004 Spring-Summer collection. In the same year, he founded his own label with his wife and launched his ready-to-wear collection during the Paris couture shows, which he then went on to show at Paris Collections in Beijing, organised by La Federation de la Couture. In 2005 he was awarded the ANDAM award for the second time and received grants from LVMH and BEAMS. The same year, he was invited to show at the Haute-Couture Official calendar by Hermes and Gaultier. Felipe Oliviera designs are recognisable for their distinct graphical elements, with clean linear cuts and sharp tailoring.
