Rubecksen Yamanaka is the fashion label founded by the Norwegian womenswear designer Hilde Rubecksen and Japanese knitwear designer Tomoko Yamanaka. The label was established in 2002 after the pair graduated from the Royal College of Art that same year. Showcasing their A/W 2005 collection for the first time at ON|OFF during London Fashion Week, Rubecksen Yamanaka’s collections consist of contemporary and directional womenswear and knitwear. Prior to founding their label, Rubecksen and Yamanaka worked for companies including Shelley Fox, Gucci, Pringle Scotland, Nicole Farhi, Studio Edelkoort, Trend Union, United Publishers and Marks & Spencer
