Kosmetique Label was created by Japanese-born fashion designer Kanya Miki. Miki graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, going on to work as an assistant designer for Walter Van Bierendonck in 2003 and John Galliano in 2004. Miki debuted his own design line Kosmetique Label in Paris in 2005. The name of the label was chosen because of its association with cosmetics, which enhance the face whilst Miki aims to enhance the figure through his designs. Kosmetique Label creates unisex clothes, which Miki claims expresses his own style 'which fits both men and women', altering the sizes of identical designs for each sex. Kosmetique Label is based in Paris, where Miki continues to live and work.
