Artist
Alexandre Farto is a street artist who lives and works in London and Lisbon. He grew up in Spain, coming to London in 2007 to study for a year at Central Saint Martins. Farto, also known by the ‘tag’ Vhils, has been creating art since the age of 13. His current work includes collaborating on the Akademia Europeia de Hip Hop project created by the Khapaz Association in collaboration with the Lacos de Rua, Freestylaz and Encontros associations. He is also the co-ordinator and promoter of the workshop and wall painting included in the Urban Requalification project of the Alagoas District. Farto has exhibited in a number of shows in and around Spain and Lisbon.
