Not all the exhibitions at Hyères can be crammed into the Villa Noailles so on the Saturday night, there is always a little jamboree in the town's main square to celebrate an opening at the Tour de Templiers: a magical, medieval tower with a terrifying stone staircase that leads to an incredible view around the Cote d'Azur. Outside photographer Thomas Mailaender's show, an intriguing hen night was underway (the bride-to-be wanders around, blindfold, selling carrots, flowers and unmentionables from a basket) and Yohji Yamamoto's Nathalie Ours was singing the praises of Ann Demeulemeester's minimal show. For the purposes of clarity, she wasn't on the hen night.
