Gareth Pugh's residency in our LiveStudio at Bruton Place has now begun, with our trusty webcams streaming every moment as if creates an exclusive one-off piece for sale in the SHOWstudio SHOP. Here, Gareth is stapling, sticking and sellotaping his working base for the day, a sheet of industrial plastic. Once, said plastic could have been the base for Gareth's garment itself, but in this instance it is part of a unique technique that allows him to 'suck' the fabric pancake flat in readiness for later treatment. These days, Gareth's hi-tech Italian factory has automated this process for him, but today we're getting Mr Pugh's unique, handcrafted approach - part Haute Couture, part Blue Peter!
