FUTURE TENSE: 'Doma' by Mary Katrantzou
From an established international brand to a new fashion star already on the road to success: our second Future Tense film of the day is from Mary Katrantzou, who graduated from Central Saint Martins in February with a highly-acclaimed MA collection of bonded jersey dresses and hyperrealist print that has already attracted international press attention and NewGen sponsorship for S/S 2009. Directly inspired by the graphicism of her Constructivist-influenced pieces, Katrantzou’s film Doma is strong, abstract and edited with laser-sharp precision around a single emphatic statement – an enviable and inestimable skill for any fashion brand to master.
So, how's it done?
