Maison Martin Margiela

If anybody consistently manages to design modern, functional and inherently distinct clothes then it has to be Margiela. A precise aesthetic was communicated by using a graphic approach to black and optical white. The presentation involved the audience walking through a Margiela set. Each model held a newspaper, illustrating the top of the garment worn, and was then dramatically lit up in turn, as Margiela's disciples described the collection. A brilliant presentation that keeps the elusive designer at the top of his game.

These clips and stills are super great, Hywel! They give a really good sense of the different ways the houses present their collections. I know only too well how exhausting it is writing them up and trying to send them whilst rushing to the next presentation so a) thanks for keeping us entertained and b) remember it's only the two days!!
